time and context

time

by default a phrase is in the present/present continuous

the words to express different times go before the phrase

  • nenar - on long past
  • ner - on recent past
  • nela - on the recent future
  • nelar - on long future
  • ner'ze - past continuous, from any past to now
  • ner'sa - past imperfect, from the long past to recent past

when the phrase is negated, you don't use ahe but write a'{time word}, for example a'ner

context

there are words put between phrases (or a word and a phrase) that denote a relation between the next phrase and previous phrase/word, the previous one being used for context

  • naŕi - makes a time relation, by default it means "during", but by adding a time word to the next phrase it can also mean "before" (i.e. with ner) or "after" (nela), so the next phrase during/before/after the previous phrase
  • eral - a relationship of 'reasoning' or continuation, the reason for the next phrase being because of the previous one (i.e. it's cold eral wear a coat)
  • a'eral - negation of the previous, "not because"

there's also the special word sóŕan which when used as the object of a phrase, refers to the next phrase, i.e. 'I like sóŕan he baking' would be "I like when he is baking" or "I like that he is baking"
